What is tantra and its basic principles

This is our first frequently asked question and we are happy to answer it, and to write about what is tantra and its basic principles.
Tantra is a spiritual and philosophical practice that originated in ancient India. At its core, tantra is about embracing all aspects of life, including our physical and emotional experiences, and using them as a path towards spiritual growth and enlightenment.

Tantra offers a multitude of benefits that can positively impact various aspects of your life.
There are various schools of thought and practices of tantra. However, there are some basic principles.
One of the fundamental principles of tantra is the belief in the interconnection of all things. Tantra sees everything in the universe as part of a single whole, and the realisation of this unity is the ultimate goal of all tantra practices.
Another principle of tantra is the cultivation of awareness and consciousness. Tantra teaches that the body, mind, and spirit are all interconnected, and that awareness and consciousness are essential for the realisation of our true nature.
In tantra, the human body is seen as a sacred vessel for spiritual transformation. Through various practices, such as meditation, breathwork, and physical movement, tantra seeks to awaken the body’s potential for spiritual growth and healing.
Finally, tantra emphasises the importance of love, compassion, and respect for oneself and others. It recognises the power of love to transform the individual and the world, and teaches that all human beings are capable of experiencing this transformative power.
